Job Description

Master Mechanic A Tech / Foreman - $100k upward!!! About Us Airbase Automotive Repair is a busy general automotive repair shop focused on professional, reliable service and long‑term customer relationships. We seek a seasoned Master Mechanic to lead our tech team as Shop Foreman — a hands‑on role combining high‑level diagnostics/repairs with crew leadership, quality control, and workflow management. Key Responsibilities Perform advanced diagnostics and complex repairs on domestic and import vehicles (engines, transmissions, driveline, brakes, steering/suspension, electrical, A/C). Lead, mentor, and schedule technicians; assign and prioritize jobs to meet deadlines. Inspect work for quality and safety; perform final checks before customer delivery. Train junior technicians on procedures, tools, and shop best practices. Communicate with service advisors about job progress, parts needs, and estimated completion times. Maintain accurate repair documentation and time records. Enforce shop safety, tool/equipment care, and cleanliness standards. Assist owner/manager with hiring, performance reviews, and parts/vendor coordination as needed. Qualifications Minimum 5+ years of professional automotive repair experience; ASE Master Technician certification preferred. Proven supervisory or lead experience in a shop setting. Strong diagnostic skills and proficiency with diagnostic scan tools and shop equipment. Ability to read service manuals, wiring diagrams, and technical bulletins. Excellent communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills. Valid driver's license; clean driving record preferred. Professional, customer‑focused attitude and reliability.
