Job Description

The position available is for a part-time / full-time position. We are looking for an individual who already has at least one year of working experience in a retail sales / customer service environment. Any experience working in a The UPS Store, Staples, Office Depot or Independent Shipping outlet, or similar is a PLUS. The Associate MUST be bi-lingual (English-Spanish) and must be able to multi-task amongst several priorities including, excellent customer service, handling shipments, operating printing equipment and communicating all offered services to customers. The associate is expected to possess extensive knowledge of all offered products and services including Printing, Packaging, Mailbox Rental, Shipping and Mailing. Cultivating relationships with individual and small business customers is very important to obtain repeat business opportunities.
Duties & Responsibilities:
 Greet and welcome customers, handle phone call inquiries  Provide prompt, efficient and courteous customer service with a friendly attitude  Understand customer needs to make the best product recommendations  Up-sell and Cross-sell products and services  Provide estimates and quotes and follow-up to close sale  Rent mailboxes including set-up and collection of necessary customer documentation  Educate customers on business solutions and print product offerings (e.g. digital printing, wide format, business products, specialty products, and binding and finishing services).  Operate and maintain print and finishing equipment  Processing incoming mail and distribute to mailboxes  Manifest outgoing mailings and shipments to generate labels  Packaging of items and/or merchandise or documents  Ring up sales and accurately collect payment, including cash  Lift/move, load/unload packages up to 100lbs  Receiving, checking in/out and inventory of packages  Check email throughout the day to address any customer action items  Continually clean, maintain and prepare store for next round of business  Keep store image pristine as per corporate guidelines This position is fast paced. We are looking for someone that has a proven track record of success who can jump into the position running, as well as be a quick learner and flexible, with a friendly personality, eagerness to help people and a good work ethic. We are a fun store with great customers. A background check is done on all perspective hires.
Qualifications:
 High school diploma or GED required  Prompt, reliable, and responsible; Arriving early for every shift and being prepared to help customers immediately upon clocking in -- if you have trouble with punctuality, please do not apply  A friendly and genuinely helpful demeanor, with particular attention to detail and professional appearance  Good communication and people skills with strong verbal and written communication skills, including spelling and math  Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Adobe Suites (2 years preferred), internet proficiency and excellent typing skills (a dictation and typing test will be administered to applicants)  Able to work and complete tasks independently in a quick turn environment, frequently multi- tasking while maintaining high quality control and service level  Fit to stand for 4 hours at a time and able to lift/move at least 100 pounds repeatedly throughout the day without assistance  Cashier/Money handling Experience  Available Monday through Saturdays, every Saturday is required  Previous retail/customer service experience with at least one or more years experience working in a The UPS Store, Staples, Office Depot or similar  Bi-lingual (Spanish/English)
