With an eye for detail and a welcoming personality, the ideal candidate is self-motivated and driven to take ownership of the wine and beer departments and inspire guests to explore our array of offerings. The Wine & Beer Lead supports the Store Manager by executing programming, maintaining floor and brand standards, and managing inventory. To thrive in this position, you should be eager to support an amazing team and our mission to do good. This position oversees Sales Associates in the wine and beer department. Who is The Good Pour? With a fresh approach to the industry, TGP is proud to offer a better way to shop for wine, beer and spirits — with beautifully designed stores, dedicated gifting areas and exciting tasting experiences — coupled with a better way to support nonprofits. That's because we donate a portion of our profits to the charity of each guest's choice. In other words, we're not your average liquor store. Who you are 21 years of age or older High school diploma or equivalent 2+ years of experience in retail sales or hospitality Flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends Knowledge of wine, beer and spirits Excellent customer service skills On top of industry trends A rising leader who works independently and fosters growth among the team What you'll do Maintain and enhance beer and wine set Greet guests and provide them with knowledgeable recommendations Efficiently operate a point-of-sale terminal Report inventory levels and product requests to Operations Manager Oversee stocking of product based on store delivery schedule Build and maintain product displays, including signage and price tags Launch seasonal and promotional campaigns in store Assist with guest sampling programs Train and develop staff with an emphasis on product education and excellent customer service Have a strong understanding of The Good Pour brand, mobile app and charitable efforts Continue to learn through online modules and in-person staff trainings Physical requirements Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds Ability to climb, bend and reach Ability to stand for long periods of time Ready to join our responsible retail movement?
