The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a passion for sales, and the ability to provide exceptional customer service. This role involves engaging with customers, demonstrating products, and ensuring an inviting shopping environment. Bilingual abilities and prior retail or grocery store experience are highly valued. The Sales Associate will play a key role in driving sales through upselling and merchandising efforts while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for all shoppers. Duties Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs Operate POS systems efficiently for transactions including cash handling and cashiering duties Conduct product demos to educate customers about features and benefits Upsell products to maximize sales opportunities Maintain proper merchandising standards, including stocking shelves and organizing displays Ensure the sales floor is clean, organized, and well-stocked at all times Assist with inventory management and stock replenishment Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly Support supervising staff as needed in overseeing daily store operations Demonstrate effective phone etiquette when handling customer calls or inquiries Qualifications Previous experience in retail sales, grocery store, or similar environment preferred Familiarity with POS systems, cashiering, and retail math calculations Strong communication skills, including bilingual abilities (English/Spanish or others) preferred Experience with product demos, upselling, and merchandising techniques Basic math skills necessary for cash handling and retail transactions Supervising experience is a plus but not required Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse customers and team members
