Retail Sales Associate

Overview Join our dynamic Easel retail team as a Retail Sales Associate and become the friendly face that helps customers find the perfect products for their art projects and creative needs! In this role, you'll provide exceptional customer service, use our register system for sales, assist with product selection, restock merchandise and ensure our store and classroom remains organized and inviting. Whether you're passionate about art or art supplies, this position offers an opportunity to learn more about art medium techniques as well as support with product knowledge. Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and identify or assist their needs related to art supplies. Operate the register system accurately for sales transactions and cash handling. Restock shelves, organize aisles, and ensure merchandise is attractive and well-maintained through effective merchandising. Provide product knowledge and advice on art supplies, techniques and recommendations. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sales floor, classroom, bathrooms and front door area. Skills Strong communication skills to effectively assist customers. Knowledge of art, art supplies, art techniques is highly desirable. Experience with retail math, cashiering, cash handling, and register systems to ensure smooth transactions. Excellent organizational skills for stocking shelves and maintaining inventory efficiently. Ability to multitask while maintaining attention to detail. Answering phone call inquiries. Familiarity with retail sales techniques and customer service best practices.

Scheduling Requirements:

Availability to work on Saturdays is required. Associates in this role are scheduled an average of 16-20 hours a week based on availability and needs of the business. Opportunity to grow into full-time role is possible. Regular timely attendance in accordance to the retail attendance policy.

Qualifications:

Highschool graduate or College student at minimum education or equivalent.

Pay Rate:

$15-$17 per hour

Pay:

$15.00 - $17.00 per hour
