TOBACCONIST SALES ASSOCIATES
Sales Associates are responsible for ensuring our Customers have real shopping and unique Cigar Lounge experience. The Associates makes eye contact, smiles, greets all Customers in a courteous and friendly manner, efficiently follows all company best practice standards, and ensures proper merchandise presentation. Sales Associates are responsible for maintaining excellent customer service, generating sales, merchandising, pricing, cash register operations (POS), and loss prevention adherence to all Company Policy/Store standards. Sales Associates are expected to be engaged in multi-tasks as assigned during all working hours and will be expected to perform a range of functions in the Lounge as business needs require. Customer Focus. Integrity and Trust. Action-Oriented. Drive for Results. Excellent customer service and communication skills are required. A High School diploma required. Ability to perform necessary mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments. Must be at least 21 years old. Retail experience preferred. Tobacconist Sales Associates Essential Functions but not limited: Understands that safety is the number one priority and practices safe behaviors in everything they do. Maintains a high level of awareness on the sales floor to create a safe and secure shopping environment for everyone. Assists Customers in any way necessary -with merchandise, and answers Customer questions politely and knowledgeable. Greets all Customers by making eye contact, smiling, and saying "hello" throughout the Store as well as saying "thank you" with every register transaction. Will provides prompt and efficient responses to Customers at all times. Sales Associates/Cashiers responds to Customer Service calls immediately. Handles all Customer issues courteously and helpfully, calling a member of the cigar lounge management when needed. Represents and supports the Company brand at all times. Maintains a professional appearance, and adheres to the Company dress code at all times. Performs daily assigned sizing and recovery per company best practice to ensure a neat, clean, and organized boutique walking humidor that is well-maintained and efficiently merchandised to standards. Will Expedites newly received merchandise receipts to the sales floor with a sense of urgency. Targeting all items per company best practice to the monthly presentation guidelines and maintaining merchandise/brand name familiarity within departments to assist Customers. Maintain and Safeguards confidential information, cash and credit card information, and merchandise. Follows all policies and procedures concerning cash, check, charge card and refund transactions, voids, and offline methods. Maximizes productivity by executing all cigar lounge best practices and minimizing steps and touches in their workflow. Effectively communicate with Customers, Associates, Assistant Managers, and Managers in a friendly, respectful, cooperative, and pleasant manner. Performs duties necessary to maintain internal and external store cleanliness, in addition to essential upkeep so that floors, windows, restrooms, drinks preparation areas, shelves, and counters stay clean and presentable at all times. Will follows company policy and procedure and all laws governing restricted to beverage and tobacco sales. Will maintains merchandise, including proper rotation, storage, stocking, and pricing promptly/accurately. Demonstrate expert knowledge of all product offerings and promotions. Always reports to work on time and when scheduled. Require the ability to read and interpret documents such as rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Require the ability to write routine reports and to speak effectively with customers and employees. Accurately and efficiently complete all sales transactions and maintain proper cash and media accountabilities at POS registers.
