Retail Sales Professional - Modern Furniture & Home Décor As a leader in modern furniture and design, we are seeking an experienced Retail Sales Professional who is passionate about customer service, design, and sales performance. This role is ideal for a confident, design-minded individual who excels at building relationships, understanding client needs, and delivering thoughtful furniture and space-planning solutions. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator who makes customers feel welcome, guides them through the selection process, and confidently closes sales. You will assist clients with product selection, recommend solutions, prepare complete room schemes and furniture layouts when required, and ensure a seamless customer experience from initial contact through delivery and after-sales service. Ultimately, you will play a key role in driving store profitability while ensuring every customer leaves satisfied and inspired. Job Summary Responsible for all aspects of retail sales of furniture and home décor, including customer engagement, suggestive selling, closing sales, and accurately completing transactions using the point-of-sale system. Prepares presentations, complete room schemes, and furniture layouts as needed to support the sales process. Duties & Responsibilities Greet and engage customers in an enthusiastic, professional, and courteous manner Assist customers with furniture and home décor selection by effectively communicating product features, benefits, and available services Identify customer needs and utilize consultative selling techniques to increase sales Prospect and follow up with potential and existing clients Accurately complete sales transactions using the POS system in accordance with established procedures Provide superior customer service by following up on order status, delivery coordination, and post-sale concerns Maintain in-depth knowledge of all merchandise and stay current as new product lines are introduced Prepare presentations, space plans, room schemes, and furniture layouts when required Assist with merchandising efforts, displays, and floor moves to maintain an attractive and functional showroom Merchandise the store to optimize sales appeal and customer flow Utilize add-on selling, closing skills, and customer-focused sales strategies Maintain full flexibility with a rotating schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays Perform other related duties as assigned by management Qualifications Proven retail sales experience or a combination of education, training, and experience that demonstrates the required skills Bilingual in English and Spanish (required) Strong negotiation and closing skills Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills Creative, flexible, and collaborative team player Professional appearance and demeanor Ability to communicate effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and at all levels Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage priorities and workflow Adaptability and enthusiasm in a fast-paced, evolving environment Commitment to excellence and high standards Education & Experience Bachelor's Degree required (Interior Design background is a plus) 3-5 years of relevant experience (furniture retail and/or interior design) Space planning knowledge highly desired Computer proficiency required (Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Experience with Floor Planner, AutoCAD, Revit, or other space-planning software is a plus Compensation & Benefits Competitive, market-based salary commensurate with experience and education Sales commissions and performance-based bonuses Comprehensive benefits package, including: Health, Vision, and Dental Insurance Paid vacation and sick days Paid holidays (select) Employee discounts We are a
