Job Overview Mar y Campo a Seafood and Beef Marketplace with an accent on Argentinian Meats and Fishes is looking for a friendly, reliable, and customer-focused Retail Salesperson to join our marketplace team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, learning about high-quality food products, and helping customers choose the right items for their meals. The Retail Salesperson will assist customers on the sales floor, answer product questions, support daily store operations, and help create a clean, organized, and welcoming shopping experience. Key Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and provide excellent customer service. Assist customers with product selection, including meats, seafood, prepared foods, grocery items, wines, and specialty products. Explain basic product details such as origin, flavor, preparation suggestions, and storage. Maintain clean, attractive, and well-stocked displays. Monitor shelves, freezers, coolers, and product presentation throughout the day. Help receive, organize, price, and restock inventory. Operate the POS system accurately for sales, returns, and customer orders. Support pickup and special orders when needed. Keep the store clean, organized, and professional at all times. Follow food safety, hygiene, and store procedures. Communicate with management about low stock, customer requests, and product issues. I deal Candidate Friendly, professional, and comfortable speaking with customers. Reliable, punctual, and responsible. Able to work in a fast-paced retail environment. Interested in food, meat, seafood, gourmet products, or cooking. Able to stand for long periods and lift boxes when needed. Detail-oriented and organized. Bilingual English/Spanish is strongly preferred. Previous retail, grocery, butcher shop, seafood, restaurant, or customer service experience is a plus. Position Summary This is a hands-on retail role focused on customer service, product presentation, and daily store support. The Retail Salesperson represents the Mar y Campo brand and helps customers experience the quality, authenticity, and service that define our marketplace.
