The Store Salesperson is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, driving sales, supporting inventory accuracy, and maintaining strong customer relationships. This role requires sales aptitude, operational discipline, basic HVAC product knowledge, and effective communication across departments. Key Responsibilities Greet customers, assess their needs, and recommend appropriate products and solutions. Actively promote products, specials, and promotions to meet or exceed sales goals. Prepare quotes, process sales transactions, handle merchandise transfers, and accurately manage cash transactions. Conduct follow-up calls on open quotes, recurring customers, product availability, and promotions. Answer incoming phone calls in accordance with company customer service standards. Build and maintain strong customer relationships to encourage repeat business. Assist with receiving, verifying, organizing, and stocking merchandise while ensuring system accuracy. Perform periodic inventory counts and validations to support inventory control. Verify product availability across other store locations and coordinate transfers as needed. Coordinate with warehouse staff or delivery drivers to facilitate merchandise pickup or transfers. Support inventory replenishment and report low stock levels or unusual inventory movements. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, including sales floor and storage areas. Follow all operational procedures, safety policies, and company guidelines. Operate forklifts when required. Communicate with the Purchasing Department regarding product availability and inquiries. Communicate with vendors to request pricing or product information as needed. Monitor competitor pricing and report findings to support competitive pricing strategies. Notify management of slow-moving products and recommend inventory optimization actions. Participate in product training sessions, seminars, and technical updates. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications Minimum of two (2) years of retail or inside sales experience. Strong customer service and communication skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment. Basic proficiency with POS systems, inventory software, and Microsoft Office. Basic math skills and cash-handling accuracy. Willingness to learn technical HVAC products and industry trends. Basic knowledge of Refrigeration and Air Conditioning products preferred. High School Diploma or equivalent required. Valid driver's license required. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and/or sit for extended periods. Ability to work at a computer workstation. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
Pay:
$60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
