Job Summary Join our dynamic retail team as a Retail Sales Associate, where your enthusiasm and customer-focused mindset will drive exceptional shopping experiences. In this role, you will engage with customers, assist them in finding the perfect products, and provide expert advice on gardening, landscaping, floral design, and horticulture supplies. Your energy will help create a lively store environment, ensuring every visitor leaves satisfied and inspired. Whether managing sales transactions or stocking shelves with vibrant merchandise, your contribution will be vital to our store's success and community presence. Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and provide knowledgeable assistance on a wide range of products including gardening tools, plants, floral arrangements, and landscape supplies. Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system efficiently for sales transactions, cash handling, and receipts. Support merchandising efforts by organizing displays, restocking shelves, and ensuring product availability. Assist customers with outdoor maintenance needs such as lawn care and landscape maintenance advice. Maintain organized stockrooms and ensure the store's appearance is inviting and well-kept. Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries in multiple languages when applicable and resolving issues promptly. Support inventory management through stock checks and accurate record-keeping using retail math principles. Promote e-commerce options by guiding customers on online ordering or pickup services when available. Experience Previous retail experience preferred, especially in garden centers or hardware stores. Knowledge of lawn care, landscaping, horticulture, floral design or gardening is highly advantageous. Familiarity with POS systems, cashiering procedures, and retail math to handle transactions confidently. Strong communication skills in English; multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse communities. Organizational skills for stocking shelves efficiently and maintaining an attractive store layout. Experience in customer service roles that require active listening and problem-solving skills.
