We are currently seeking a Medical Receptionist / Front Desk Specialist to join our front office team. This role is ideal for someone who is dependable, enthusiastic, and customer-focused, with a genuine interest in dermatology or aesthetics. They would help schedule appointments, intake and checkout patients, and assist other team members as needed in our busy dermatology clinics.
Job Summary:
The Product Specialist & Front Desk Coordinator serves as the practice's primary resource for skincare product education, recommendations, and retail sales. This individual will educate patients on skincare regimens, explain product benefits, assist with product selection, maintain inventory, and help drive retail sales growth. In addition, this role will support front desk operations by greeting patients, scheduling appointments, checking patients in and out, collecting payments, and assisting with daily administrative functions as needed. We are seeking a dependable, energetic, patient-focused individual who enjoys building relationships, providing exceptional customer service, and helping patients achieve their skincare goals. This role plays a key part in helping patients understand available cosmetic solutions and supporting the growth of the practice's retail and cosmetic service offerings.
Essential Duties & Skills:
Educate patients on medical-grade skincare products, ingredients, benefits, and proper usage. Recommend customized skincare regimens based on patient concerns and provider recommendations. Explain cosmetic procedures, treatment plans, memberships, and skincare packages to patients. Promote retail skincare products and cosmetic services in a consultative, patient-focused manner. Assist providers with patient education regarding cosmetic treatments and post-procedure skincare. Follow up with patients regarding product recommendations and treatment plans. Build strong relationships with patients to encourage long-term skincare compliance and satisfaction. Maintain knowledge of current skincare products, cosmetic treatments, and industry trends. Support product launches, promotional campaigns, special events, and patient education initiatives. Maintain attractive, organized, and well-stocked retail displays. Process product purchases and collect payments accurately. Track product sales performance and identify opportunities to increase retail revenue. Collaborate with providers and leadership to improve patient engagement and retail sales strategies. Provide exceptional customer service and ensure a positive patient experience. Assist with scheduling cosmetic consultations and provide front desk support as needed. May be required to float between offices. Qualifications Experience in dermatology, aesthetics, cosmetic medicine, med spa, retail skincare, or sales preferred. Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills. Proven ability to build rapport and confidently recommend products and services. Candidates that have prior experience in Dermatology or with Modernizing Medicine - EMA EHR are preferred but not required.
