Job Description
Job Summary Overview Trendz is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Sales Associate to join our team in a fun, family-friendly, and fast-paced retail environment. As a store that specializes in toys, plushies, collectibles, and anime figures, we are seeking someone who not only delivers excellent customer service but also has a genuine interest in our products. Anime knowledge is highly recommended, as many customers rely on staff for guidance and recommendations. Open availability—especially on weekends and during holidays—is strongly preferred. Since we serve many families and young shoppers, being comfortable and friendly with kids is essential. Responsibilities Provide outstanding customer service by greeting customers, assisting with purchases, and answering questions. Interact positively with kids and families, creating a welcoming and enjoyable experience. Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system accurately, including handling cash and card transactions. Share product knowledge, particularly regarding toys, collectibles, and anime figures. Use upselling and cross-selling techniques to enhance customer purchases. Maintain merchandising standards by organizing displays, stocking shelves, and ensuring product availability. Assist with inventory management, including restocking and light stock counts. Keep the store clean, organized, and inviting for customers of all ages. Communicate clearly and professionally, both in person and over the phone. Support team operations and follow store guidelines to ensure smooth daily workflow. Skills & Qualifications Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred. Comfortable and patient when interacting with children and families. Knowledge of anime and anime figures is a strong plus. Friendly, engaging communication style with strong people skills. Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and inventory tasks. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Open availability, especially on weekends and during holidays, is highly valued. Bilingual abilities are a plus. Reliable, professional, and eager to learn.
