With over 50 years of experience in the field, we offer eye exams, consultations, optical and all general ophthalmology. We offer advanced cataract and refractive surgeries, glaucoma treatment, and retina. Job Description We are looking for a very energetic and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Optical Sales Associate. In this sales-focused role, you will be responsible for educating and guiding patients through the process of selecting the most suitable lens and frame options to enhance their vision. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in assisting patients to make informed decisions about their eye care journey.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Report to Optical Sales Manager
  • Assist patients in selecting eyewear frames and lenses that meet their visual needs, style preferences, and budget.
  • Provide personalized recommendations and guidance on lens options, coatings, and additional accessories.
  • Conduct accurate measurements and fittings to ensure proper frame alignment and optimal visual clarity.
  • Educate customers on the features and benefits of various eyewear products and lens technologies.
  • Process transactions accurately and efficiently using our point-of-sale system.
  • Meet or exceed sales goals and quotas on a consistent basis.
  • Collaborate with other team members to achieve departmental objectives and deliver exceptional customer experiences.
  • Maintain a clean and organized retail environment, including displays and inventory.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, new product releases, and advancements in optical technology.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous sales experience in a retail environment, preferably in the optical industry.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and surgical procedures is a plus!
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be tech savvy with the ability to navigate a computer and learn new systems with ease.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and effectively manage high-stress situations.
  • Familiarity with eyewear fashion trends, lens options, and frame materials.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to address patients' concerns and objectives effectively.
