In this energetic role, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, managing sales transactions, and ensuring the store operates smoothly. Your enthusiasm and proactive approach will help drive sales, promote products, and create a welcoming environment for all visitors. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop retail skills while contributing to a vibrant community-focused store. Duties Greet customers warmly and assist with their shopping needs, providing product information and recommendations. Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system accurately for sales transactions, cash handling, and receipts. Conduct product demos and upselling to promote featured items and increase store revenue. Stock shelves, organize merchandise displays, and ensure the store remains clean, organized, and inviting. Manage inventory by stocking new products, monitoring stock levels, and assisting with merchandising strategies. Handle customer inquiries via phone with professional phone etiquette, resolving issues promptly and courteously. Supervise or assist in supervising team members during shifts to ensure excellent customer service standards are maintained. Skills Proven experience in retail sales or grocery store environments with strong cashiering skills. Excellent communication skills in both English and bilingual capabilities to serve diverse customers effectively. Knowledge of POS systems, cash handling procedures, and basic retail math for accurate transactions. Demonstrated ability to upsell products through engaging product demos and customer interactions. Supervising experience preferred to support team coordination and store operations. Strong customer service orientation with friendly phone etiquette and problem-solving skills. Familiarity with merchandising, stocking techniques, and grocery store operations to optimize product placement and sales opportunities.
