You will be instrumental in creating a welcoming shopping environment, assisting customers with their needs, and driving sales through effective upselling and merchandising strategies. Outdoor Equipment Augusta is part of a growing organization of outdoor power equipment dealerships dedicated to quality products and service. Knowledge of lawn equipment, parts, diagrams, and mechanical aptitude are desired attributes. Responsibilities Greet customers and assist them in selecting products that meet their needs Conduct product demos to showcase features and benefits, encouraging customer engagement Manage point-of-sale (POS) transactions efficiently, including cash handling and processing payments Handling financing purchases Upsell & cross sell complementary products to maximize sales opportunities while maintaining customer satisfaction Maintain organized merchandise displays and ensure shelves are stocked and well-presented Help maintain a clean showroom Provide excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or taking orders remotely Support inventory management through stocking, merchandising, and inventory checks Requirements Prior experience in retail sales or equipment environments is preferred but not mandatory; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are key Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures Strong communication skills in both verbal and written formats; bilingual abilities are a plus Ability to perform basic math accurately for transactions and inventory management Excellent customer service skills with a professional phone etiquette approach Knowledge of retail merchandising, stocking practices, and product demos is desirable Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail This position offers an engaging opportunity to grow your retail career while delivering exceptional service.
