Furniture Sales Associate

Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Sales Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers while effectively promoting and selling our products. As a Sales Associate, you will play a key role in creating a welcoming environment and ensuring that customers have a positive shopping experience. Responsibilities Engage with customers to understand their needs and provide tailored product recommendations. Utilize upselling techniques to enhance the customer shopping experience and increase sales. Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently for processing transactions, including cash handling, credit card payments and financing. Maintain product displays and ensure that the sales floor is clean, organized, and well merchandised. Assist in supervising junior staff members, providing guidance and support as needed. Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints in a professional manner. Collaborate with team members to meet sales goals and contribute to overall store success. Experience Previous experience in retail sales or furniture store environments is preferred but not required. Strong phone etiquette skills for handling customer calls effectively. Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. A passion for sales and helping customers find the right products for their needs.
