Job Description
Overview Wandalands Vineyard & Orchard is hiring a dependable, hardworking, and customer-friendly team member to support our vineyard, orchard, and farm market during the season. This is a part-time, seasonal position that includes a mix of outdoor farm work and customer-facing market responsibilities. The ideal candidate enjoys working outside, is comfortable with physical tasks, takes pride in doing good work, and can provide friendly service to customers visiting the farm. Duties Vineyard & Orchard Duties Plant, prune, water, and help maintain grapevines and orchard trees Harvest fruit and grapes during seasonal picking periods Assist with weeding, fertilizing, pest control, and irrigation tasks Safely use basic farm tools and equipment Sort, clean, and package harvested produce Help maintain clean, organized, and safe farm work areas Follow farm safety procedures and daily work instructions Farm Market & Cashier Duties Greet customers and provide friendly, helpful service Operate the cash register and process cash, card, and mobile payments Stock shelves and display fresh produce and farm products Answer customer questions about products, produce, and farm offerings Keep the market area clean, organized, and presentable Assist with inventory counts, restocking, and basic market tasks Support seasonal events, tastings, and farmers market activities as needed Requirements Reliable, punctual, and willing to work as part of a team Comfortable working outdoors in changing weather conditions Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds Strong work ethic and willingness to learn Good communication and customer service skills Basic math skills for cashier and payment handling Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays during peak season Previous farm, gardening, produce, retail, or cashier experience is helpful but not required The right person for this role is dependable, friendly, and not afraid of hands-on work. Some days may involve working outside in the vineyard or orchard, while other days may involve helping customers in the market.
