Duties Greet customers warmly and provide expert advice on lawn care, gardening, floral design, and landscape maintenance products. Assist customers in selecting merchandise that meets their needs, demonstrating strong product knowledge across horticulture and outdoor living categories. Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system efficiently for sales transactions, cash handling, and refunds while maintaining accuracy in retail math calculations. Stock shelves, organize displays, and ensure the store is clean, organized, and visually appealing through effective merchandising. Support inventory management by receiving deliveries, stocking products, and conducting regular stock checks to maintain optimal product availability. Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries in multiple languages if applicable and resolving issues promptly to ensure customer satisfaction. Maintain organized records of sales transactions, inventory levels, and customer interactions to support store operations. Requirements Strong communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with diverse customers in English; multilingual abilities are a plus. Previous experience or interest in lawn care, landscape maintenance, gardening, horticulture or floral design is preferred but not required. Familiarity with retail sales processes including cashiering, POS systems, cash handling, and retail math. Excellent organizational skills to manage stocking routines and merchandising displays effectively. Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting merchandise or supplies related to gardening or landscaping products. Demonstrated customer service skills with a positive attitude and proactive approach to assisting shoppers. Basic knowledge of e-commerce platforms is advantageous for supporting online orders or digital inquiries.
