) We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Sales Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for customer service and a strong sales background, particularly in a retail or grocery store environment. As a Sales Associate, you will play a vital role in providing an exceptional shopping experience for our customers while effectively promoting our products and services. Bilingual Spanish, is a plus. Duties Engage with customers to understand their needs and provide tailored product recommendations. Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system and cash register efficiently, ensuring accurate transactions. Assist in maintaining the sales floor, including restocking shelves and organizing merchandise. Conduct product demonstrations to educate customers about features and benefits, enhancing their shopping experience. Utilize upselling techniques to increase sales and promote special offers or promotions. Perform basic math calculations for transactions, ensuring accuracy in cash handling and register operations. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sales area to create an inviting atmosphere for customers. Experience Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store operations is preferred but not mandatory. Familiarity with cash registers and POS systems is highly desirable. Strong basic math skills and knowledge of retail math principles are essential for this role. Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with customers. A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
