Director of Golf and Head Golf Professional Directly Manages:
None Duties:
The Golf Shop Sales Associate sells golf merchandise and maintains the Golf Shop, and books tee times. Specifically, the Golf Shop Sales Associate must:
  • Greet and welcome members, guests and patrons to the Golf Shop.
  • Provide the highest level of customer service.
  • Create/Cancel/Edit Golf tee times in electronic tee sheet in person or over the phone.
  • Describe golf experience, golf course conditions, restaurant specials and upsell club products.
  • Record all charge tickets using the POS system.
  • Change merchandise displays when new orders arrive.
  • Keep shop neat, clean, well-lit and comfortable.
  • Restock merchandise when supply is low, this may require lifting 40 pounds or more.
  • Assist with inventory.
  • Keep storage area clean and organized.
  • Promote and sell golf shop merchandise.
  • Complete other tasks as assigned by the Golf Professionals
  • Be able to perform light physical work, and may be required to occasionally lift up to 40 pounds, up to 10 pounds frequently, and up to 5 pounds constantly while performing such activities as bending, reaching, standing, walking, lifting and grasping Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of all activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.

  • Previous experience in the golf industry preferred
  • Previous retail experience required
  • Sports background preferred
  • Strong hospitality experience required
Pay:
$16.00 - $18.00 per hour
