Duties Assist customers with product selections, answer questions, and provide detailed product demos to showcase features and benefits Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately for transactions including cash handling and credit card processing Upsell merchandise by recommending complementary products to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales Maintain attractive merchandising displays and ensure shelves are stocked and organized according to company standards Conduct stock replenishment, inventory counts, and assist with merchandise stocking to keep the store well-supplied Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries via phone etiquette and in person, ensuring a positive shopping experience Support supervising team members when needed, helping to oversee daily operations and maintain store standards Requirements Previous retail sales experience preferred, especially in grocery or specialty stores Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customers Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling, and basic math for transactions and inventory management Experience with merchandising, product demos, upselling techniques, and stock organization Ability to demonstrate excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills in a fast-paced environment Supervising experience is advantageous but not mandatory; leadership qualities are valued Must be dependable, adaptable, and eager to learn about our products and store procedures Join us at Copper Penny where your enthusiasm makes a difference!
