Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and assist them with their product selections, offering knowledgeable recommendations and conducting product demos when appropriate. Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system efficiently to process transactions accurately, including cash handling and credit card payments. Upsell related products by understanding customer needs and highlighting additional items or promotions to enhance their shopping experience. Maintain attractive merchandise displays and ensure products are well-stocked, organized, and properly merchandised to maximize sales potential. Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions about products, store policies, or promotions with clear communication and professionalism. Manage phone inquiries with courteous phone etiquette, providing information or directing calls as needed. Assist in inventory management tasks such as stocking shelves, conducting stock counts, and ensuring the store remains clean and inviting. Requirements Previous retail sales experience preferred, especially in grocery stores or specialty retail environments. Strong proficiency with POS systems and cash handling procedures. Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively in multiple languages (bilingual skills are a plus). Demonstrated supervising experience or leadership qualities that can support team collaboration. Ability to perform basic math for transactions, inventory counts, and sales calculations accurately. Knowledge of merchandising techniques and experience with stocking products to create appealing displays. Exceptional customer service skills paired with professional phone etiquette.
