The Cashier is responsible for providing excellent customer service, accurately processing sales transactions, maintaining a clean and organized checkout area, and assisting customers with product inquiries. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment. Key Responsibilities Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner. Process cash, credit, debit, and other payment transactions accurately. Verify customer identification and comply with all applicable age-verification and alcohol sales regulations. Answer customer questions and provide product information when needed. Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked checkout area. Assist with stocking shelves, organizing merchandise, and maintaining store appearance. Handle returns and exchanges according to company policies. Balance cash drawer and ensure accurate cash handling procedures. Monitor inventory levels and report low-stock items to management. Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and loss-prevention practices. Support team members with daily store operations as needed. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous cashier, retail, or customer service experience preferred but not required. Strong customer service and interpersonal skills. Basic math and cash-handling abilities. Ability to operate a point-of-sale (POS) system. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds. Dependable, punctual, and detail-oriented.
