Job Summary Job Opportunity:
Full-Time Firearms Sales Associate - Red's Trading Post Red's Trading Post, Idaho's oldest gun shop, is seeking a knowledgeable, professional, and service-oriented Full-Time Firearms Sales Associate (40 hours per week) to join our team in Twin Falls. As we celebrate our 90th anniversary, we are looking for an individual who is driven by both a genuine passion for the firearms industry and an unwavering commitment to helping our customers. The Role You will be the face of our shop, assisting customers with firearm selections, optics, and tactical equipment. You will provide expert guidance, ensure compliance with all federal and state regulations, and contribute to a welcoming, high-trust environment where our customers feel heard, valued, and educated.
Key Responsibilities Customer-First Consultation:
Actively listen to customers to understand their specific needs, providing expert advice on firearms, ammunition, and accessories to help them make confident, informed decisions.
Compliance & Safety:
Maintain rigorous adherence to all ATF regulations, state laws, and internal safety protocols regarding firearm transfers and background checks.
Inventory Management:
Assist in maintaining an organized showroom and supporting the digitization and cataloging of our inventory.
Sales Execution:
Process transactions efficiently while maintaining the professional standards of our historic shop.
Community Engagement:
Represent Red's Trading Post with the professionalism, integrity, and deep industry knowledge our customers have trusted for generations.
Requirements Passion & Service:
A deep-rooted passion for firearms combined with a dedicated commitment to delivering an exceptional, helpful customer experience.
Industry Knowledge:
Familiarity with modern firearms, NFA regulations (including current tax stamp processes), and tactical gear.
Continuous Learning:
A proactive desire to stay current with evolving industry technology, product innovations, and regulatory changes.
Communication:
Exceptional verbal communication skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor.
Professionalism:
A high degree of integrity and attention to detail, particularly regarding regulatory compliance.
Conditions of Employment:
Ability to work a full-time, 40-hour schedule. All applicants must be able to pass a comprehensive criminal background check. Red's Trading Post is a strictly drug-free workplace.
Experience:
