Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Associate to join our team in a dynamic grocery store environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a basic understanding of retail math, and the ability to engage with customers effectively. This role involves assisting customers with their shopping needs, managing stock levels, and contributing to a positive shopping experience. Responsibilities Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner. Communicate product information and promotions effectively to enhance customer experience. Utilize POS systems for processing transactions accurately. Maintain stock levels on the sales floor, ensuring products are well-displayed and accessible. Perform basic math calculations for inventory management and sales transactions. Engage in upselling techniques to promote additional products to customers. Conduct product demonstrations to educate customers about new items or promotions. Ensure cleanliness and organization of the store environment. Provide excellent phone etiquette when handling customer inquiries over the phone. Requirements Previous experience in a grocery store or retail environment is preferred but not mandatory. Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively. Basic math skills for handling transactions and inventory management. Familiarity with POS systems is a plus. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated. A willingness to learn about products and services offered in the store.
