Overview This is a Part Time position. Join our dynamic retail team as a Cashier/Sales Associate and become the friendly face that welcomes customers, assists with their shopping experience, and ensures smooth transactions at the register. Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional service by assisting with product inquiries, product demos, and upselling opportunities to enhance their shopping experience Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately for cash handling, credit card transactions, and returns while maintaining attention to detail with retail math and basic math skills Manage cashier duties including scanning items, processing payments, giving correct change, and ensuring cash register accuracy Maintain organized merchandising displays, stock shelves, and ensure products are well-presented to attract customer interest Engage customers using effective communication skills, phone etiquette, and bilingual abilities when applicable to serve diverse clientele Support inventory management through stocking shelves, conducting stock checks, and assisting with product demos or promotional events Uphold store policies on safety, cleanliness, and customer service standards to foster a welcoming environment Experience Previous retail sales or grocery store experience preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is key Supervising experience is a plus for those interested in advancing into leadership roles Familiarity with POS systems and cashiering procedures enhances efficiency in transaction processing Strong communication skills in multiple languages are advantageous for serving diverse customers Ability to perform retail math accurately for cash handling and sales calculations Experience in upselling or merchandising helps maximize sales opportunities and improve store presentation Demonstrated excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills to build lasting customer relationships Join us in creating memorable shopping experiences!
