Job Overview Join our dynamic retail team as a Retail Sales Associate, where your enthusiasm and customer-focused mindset will drive the success of our store. In this energetic role, you'll be the friendly face guiding customers through their shopping experience, offering expert advice on gardening, landscaping, floral design, and outdoor maintenance products. Your proactive approach will help create a welcoming environment, ensuring customers find everything they need while feeling valued and supported. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your sales skills and deepen your knowledge of horticulture and retail operations. Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and assist them with product selection related to lawn care, landscape maintenance, gardening, floral design, and outdoor tools Provide knowledgeable recommendations on horticulture and gardening supplies to meet customer needs Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately for transactions including cash handling and retail math calculations Stock shelves efficiently, ensuring products are well-organized, properly merchandised, and accessible Maintain a clean and organized sales floor to enhance the shopping experience Support inventory management through stocking, inventory checks, and merchandising efforts Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries promptly and communicating product features clearly in English or multilingual as applicable Experience Previous retail sales or customer service experience is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for helping others is essential Knowledge of lawn care, landscape maintenance, gardening, horticulture, floral design or related fields is a plus Familiarity with POS systems, cashiering procedures, and retail math enhances your effectiveness in this role Strong communication skills in English are necessary; multilingual abilities are a valuable asset Organizational skills to manage stocking duties and maintain an inviting store environment Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced retail setting while demonstrating excellent interpersonal skills Join us to be part of a vibrant team dedicated to delivering outstanding service and expert advice.
