Summer Weekend Sales Associate Gray Residential Greenwood, IN Job Details Seasonal $20 an hour 1 hour ago Benefits Opportunities for advancement Qualifications Bilingual Computer operation Customer communication Property management tools Property leasing High school diploma or GED Expense reports Desktop applications Computer skills Full Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
The Weekend Sales Associate is the face of our community on Saturday and Sunday, welcoming prospective residents and guiding them through a warm, memorable leasing experience. This is a seasonal position with the potential to become permanent for the right person. It is perfect for someone who genuinely enjoys connecting with people and thrives in an energetic, guest-focused environment. No prior property management experience is required — we will train the right person. What matters most is your ability to make people feel at home from the moment they walk through the door. We are looking to fill roles in Granger, Terre Haute, Bloomington, Greenwood and Indianapolis.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Open the leasing office and ensure it is clean, welcoming, and tour-ready before the first guests arrive Greet prospective residents warmly and create a genuine connection from the first interaction Guide prospects through model apartments or available units and showcase amenity areas — fitness centers, common spaces, outdoor areas, and other community highlights Listen actively to understand each prospect's priorities, lifestyle, and timeline Document prospect feedback, objections, and specific requirements accurately in the leasing software Apply feature-benefit selling techniques — connecting specific community and apartment features to each prospect's individual needs and lifestyle rather than delivering a generic pitch Overcome concerns by listening, empathizing, and providing helpful information — not pressure Encourage qualified prospects to take the next step and submit a rental application before leaving Follow all Fair Housing guidelines in every interaction without exception Communicate any unresolved needs or follow-up items to the Property Manager at shift end
WHO YOU ARE
You don't need a background in real estate or property management. We're looking for the right personality and mindset: You light up around people — conversations come naturally and you leave interactions better than you found them You pick up on social cues quickly and can adapt your communication style to each individual You're a patient, active listener who hears what people are actually saying — and what they're not You take pride in representing a brand well and showing up professionally You're self-motivated and can manage your time and responsibilities independently on weekends You can navigate basic computer programs and are comfortable learning new software You handle objections and "no" responses with grace — they're just part of the process
QUALIFICATIONS
Required High school diploma or equivalent Reliable transportation to report to assigned property on time each weekend Basic computer literacy — ability to navigate email, web-based leasing software, and digital forms Ability to walk apartment units and community grounds with prospects (interior and exterior) Availability for both Saturday (10 AM-3 PM) and Sunday (12 PM-4 PM) each week Preferred (Not Required) Experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, or any people-facing role Familiarity with property management software (training will be provided) Bilingual communication skills are a plus
WORKING CONDITIONS
Work is performed primarily indoors in a leasing office environment, with outdoor community tours as needed Weekend availability is required — this position does not operate Monday through Friday. Professional dress is expected in accordance with Gray Residential appearance standards May occasionally assist with resident-facing tasks or community events during scheduled hours
A NOTE FOR SEASONAL WORKERS
Teachers, students, retirees, and seasonal workers — we want to hear from you. This position is designed to flex around people who have great availability on weekends but may not be looking for a year-round commitment right now.
We actively welcome applications from:
Teachers or school staff with summers free and weekend availability during the school year College students looking for consistent weekend work that builds real-world sales experience Retirees who enjoy staying active and engaged with their community Anyone with a primary job during the week who wants meaningful weekend work For the right person, this seasonal role can evolve into a permanent part-time or full-time position within our growing portfolio. We promote from within whenever possible.
