Department Lead - Receiving Valence Surface Technologies, LLC - 2.9 Wichita, KS Job Details 17 hours ago Qualifications Moving Full Job Description Valence Surface Technologies is a full-service surface finishing company specializing in the commercial aerospace, defense, space and satellite industries. With ten strategically located sites across the United States, Valence provides a start to finish solution from NDT and chemical processing, to paint and sub-assembly.
Position Summary:
Responsible for managing the the flow of materials, parts, and products ensuring that all incoming and outgoing shipments are handled efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with company and industry standards. Plans, organizes, coordinates, and executes activities that carry out production activities and maximize throughput. Responsibilities Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing lists. Prepare and package outgoing shipments, ensuring proper labeling, documentation, and compliance with shipping regulations. Maintain accurate records of all shipments and inventory transactions in the company's ERP system. Coordinate with production, quality control, and procurement teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and products. Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently. Conduct regular inventory counts and assist with inventory management and control. Resolve any discrepancies or issues related to shipping and receiving activities. Ensure the shipping and receiving area is organized, clean, and safe at all times. Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications Previous experience in shipping and receiving, preferably in an aerospace or manufacturing environment. Proficiency with ERP system, inventory management software, and Microsoft Office. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and operate material handling equipment. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy objects, and perform repetitive tasks. High school diploma or equivalent. Export Compliance Requirement This position requires access to EAR or ITAR controlled technologies.
