We facilitate this by providing excellent customer service and expert LEGO knowledge for all ages and abilities. Bricks & Minifigs Wichita is locally owned and operated. We are a buy, sell, and trade store which encourages customers to reuse, rebuild, and reimagine with LEGO elements. Store Associate High Level Responsibility
  • Create an atmosphere which balances a casual/friendly feel with professionalism.
  • Help customers, aged child to adult, learn their way around the store and develop an understanding of how the Bricks & Minifigs experience is unique.
  • Make sure the environment is safe and welcoming. The practicalities of what most of your day will entail:
  • Greeting customers when they enter the store;
  • Helping customers at checkout;
  • Cleaning restrooms;
  • Building and repairing used sets;
  • Sorting and cleaning bulk LEGO;
  • Organizing and stocking minifigures and sets (new and used);
  • Facilitating parties and events;
  • Scheduling events;
  • And lots of standing with quite a bit of lifting heavy containers upwards of 50 pounds. The Creative Stuff
  • Brainstorming workshop, camp, and party ideas
  • Coming up with contest ideas
  • Decorating for holidays
  • Creating flyers
  • Learning to buy pre-owned LEGO items Requirements
  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Pass a background check
  • Have a background in customer service which includes being able to work and relate well with people.
  • Knowledge of the LEGO ecosystem from past to present.
  • Intermediate LEGO building skills.
  • A desire to learn what needs to be done to successfully operate a small local business
  • An ability to work on weekends and in accordance with posted store hours and/or seasonal hours Compensation and shifts
  • These positions start around 20 hours per week with a max of 40 hours per week with wages starting at $12 to $15 per hour.
  • The shifts run through all the days open Monday through Saturday (including specified Holidays.)
  • Store hours are 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM with an exception of Saturday which is 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Hours may vary for seasonal hours.
  • Unpaid holidays off for half day for the Fourth of July, full day for Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.
  • Required days: December 31st of each year - Inventory of the store is completed on December 31st of each year; the Saturday before Thanksgiving (store anniversary); the day after Thanksgiving (Black Friday) and the Saturday after Thanksgiving Reports to: Manager and/or
