Retail Sales Associate (Part-Time) The Scrub Shoppe -
Owensboro, KY Pay:
$14-$18 per hour (based on experience and qualifications)

In person About Us The Scrub Shoppe is a locally owned 14,000 SF specialty retail store serving healthcare professionals across Western Kentucky. We offer premium scrubs, footwear, compression, accessories, boutique apparel, gifts, and more in a unique shopping environment unlike any other in the region. Every day, we have the opportunity to serve the healthcare professionals who care for our communities. We are looking for a professional, friendly, dependable, and motivated Retail Sales Associate to help deliver an exceptional customer experience throughout both our medical apparel and boutique departments. This position offers opportunities for growth in hours, compensation, and responsibilities for the right person.
Store Hours Monday-Friday:
10:00 AM - 6:00
PM Saturday:
10:00 AM - 4:00 PM Applicants should have weekday availability and be available for approximately two Saturdays per month on a rotating schedule . What You'll Do Provide a warm, professional in-store experience by greeting customers and assisting them with their needs Help customers with fit and sizing across scrub tops, pants, jackets, footwear, and accessories Assist customers in our boutique department with apparel, gifts, and lifestyle merchandise Recommend products and complete solutions that enhance the customer experience Process purchases and returns accurately using our POS system Keep the store clean, organized, well-stocked, and visually appealing Receive shipments, tag merchandise, stock product, and maintain organized backstock Answer phone calls professionally and assist customers efficiently Work with the team to maintain a productive, high-standard retail environment Learn additional areas of the business over time, including apparel decorating techniques W hat We're Looking For (Required Qualifications) Professional communication skills and a customer-first attitude Strong reliability, punctuality, and work ethic Friendly and confident interacting with customers in person and over the phone Quick learner with a willingness to take initiative Comfortable making recommendations and asking questions to help customers find the best solutions Willingness to learn new skills and grow into additional responsibilities Ability to stand and walk for most of the shift Ability to lift up to approximately 30 lbs Basic comfort with technology, including POS and inventory-related tasks Preferred Qualifications (Not Required) Retail, hospitality, or other customer-facing experience Apparel or footwear fitting experience Consultative sales experience Social media management experience Graphic design experience Why You'll Like This Role Competitive part-time pay Employee discount on scrubs, footwear, boutique apparel, and accessories Predictable retail hours with no late nights Alternating Saturday schedule Opportunities for additional hours, increased compensation, and career growth A fast-paced, team-oriented work environment Variety in the role through both medical apparel and boutique sales Opportunities to learn apparel decorating and other areas of the business Our Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is hardworking, professional, dependable, and enjoys helping people.
