Convenience Store Cashier/Sales Associate Speedy Plus Food Mart Baton Rouge, LA Job Details Part-time | Full-time $10 - $12 an hour 9 hours ago Qualifications Bilingual Customer communication Promoting products Customer service Basic math POS Organizational skills Retail store product knowledge Product demos Stocking Retail math Suggestive selling Cash handling Retail sales Full Job Description Greet customers and provide exceptional customer service. Operate the cash register accurately and handle cash transactions. Scan and bag items for customers. Process returns and exchanges efficiently. Maintain a clean and organized checkout area. Answer customer inquiries and provide product information. Upsell products and services to customers. Conduct product demonstrations as needed.
Required experience:
Previous experience in convenience store sales.
Required skills:
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Bilingual proficiency in [languages] is a plus. Ability to upsell and promote products effectively. Familiarity with technology products and their features. Basic math skills for cash handling and calculating totals. Experience with point-of-sale (POS) systems is a plus. Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
