The Counter Sales Associate is responsible for delivering outstanding customer service while supporting daily retail store operations, inventory management, shipping and receiving activities, and sales growth. This role requires strong product knowledge, effective communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Responsibilities include assisting customers, operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment, receiving and shipping materials, maintaining store appearance, and ensuring accurate inventory records. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, detail-oriented, and team-focused, with at least one year of related experience, the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and a commitment to professionalism, safety, and continuous learning. Forklift certification and previous shipping and receiving experience are preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensuring Exceptional Customer Experience Handle shipping and receiving duties. Manage inventory and organize materials. Ensure accuracy in order fulfillment and shipment documentation.
Qualifications:
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience. Minimum of 1 year of forklift operation experience in a warehouse setting. Valid Forklift Operator Certification (preferred). Basic computer skills and the ability to operate a PC. Ability to read,communicate, and understand instructions, memos, and short correspondence.
Customer Service Experience Physical Requirements:
Frequently stand, with occasional walking, sitting, reaching, climbing, balancing, and talking/hearing. Must be able to lift or move up to 50 pounds occasionally.
