Job Description
Job Summary Join our team as a Meat Processing and Retail Associate and become an important part of delivering quality products and excellent customer service. In this hands-on role, you will assist with meat preparation and packaging, fulfill customer orders, maintain product displays, and operate the cash register. This paid position offers the opportunity to learn meat-cutting and processing techniques, food safety practices, inventory management, and retail customer service in a friendly and fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and assist them with selecting meat products based on their needs and preferences. Process, package, label, and prepare meat products according to company standards and food safety regulations. Assemble and prepare customer orders accurately and efficiently. Operate Point of Sale (POS) systems, process transactions, and handle cash, credit card, and other payment methods. Answer customer questions regarding meat cuts, cooking methods, product availability, and special orders. Maintain attractive and well-stocked meat displays, coolers, and retail areas. Monitor product freshness and ensure proper rotation of inventory. Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, and processing tools in accordance with health and safety guidelines. Receive, organize, and restock inventory as needed. Assist with unloading deliveries and maintaining accurate inventory records. Support overall store cleanliness and organization to create a welcoming environment for customers. Work collaboratively with team members to ensure efficient daily operations and exceptional customer service. Requirements Strong communication and customer service skills. Eagerness to learn, develop new skills, and adapt to changing business needs Ability or openness to operate a cash register and POS system accurately. Understanding of food safety and sanitation practices or willingness to learn. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks, including lifting, stocking, and working in refrigerated environments. Ability to work efficiently while maintaining accuracy.
