Job Description

Job Summary The Commission-Based Sales Associate at American Furniture of Slidell is responsible for delivering a world-class customer experience while driving sales results. This role thrives in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment and plays a key part in representing the company's brand through professionalism, product knowledge, and genuine guest engagement. The Sales Associate builds lasting customer relationships, processes transactions accurately, and supports daily store operations while consistently meeting or exceeding sales goals. Duties & Responsibilities Provide an outstanding service experience for every customer and guest Maintain a welcoming, professional, and visible presence on the sales floor and at the front desk Engage with guests in a cordial and respectful manner while representing the company's brand image Accurately and efficiently process sales orders while adhering to cash-handling procedures Assist customers with credit applications and financing options while maintaining thorough sales documentation Address and resolve customer concerns independently whenever possible Meet and exceed individual sales goals and align performance with company KPIs and standards Support store opening and closing procedures, including cash reconciliation and daily checklists Assist with inventory management and loss prevention efforts, including participation in bi-annual inventory counts Maintain reliable attendance and flexibility to meet business needs Complete additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned by management Requirements & Qualifications Legally authorized to work in the United States Must be at least 18 years of age Ability to lift, tug, and pull up to 25 lbs with or without reasonable accommodation High school diploma or equivalent preferred Minimum of 1 year of customer service and/or sales experience preferred Outgoing, friendly, and confident communicator who enjoys interacting with others Ability to convey information in a motivating manner that inspires customer action Passion for sharing ideas, learning products, and helping customers make informed decisions Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
