Pawn Broker/Sales Associate

Bayou Pawn & Jewelry is looking for a motivated and outgoing candidate to fill the Pawnbroker/Sales associate position. The position pays hourly. We are growing pawn shop chain in southeast Louisiana with 5 locations. No knowledge of the pawn business is required ; if you're an outgoing person we can teach you everything you need to know in order to become our next team member. You will be responsible for selling products, merchandise, and services in a retail setting in order to drive company revenue.

Responsibilities:

• Welcome and identify customer needs
• Explain products and services to customers
• Monitor inventory to ensure product is in stock.
• Stocking and Pulling Inventory
• Enter and process customer orders
• Investigate and resolve customer complaints
• Processing loans, extensions, and sales
• Evaluate customer's items for loan value

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in sales, customer service, or other related fields
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to build rapport with customers
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong negotiation skills
• Some knowledge of firearms, jewelry, electronics, musical equipment, and tools is not required but is preferred .
• Minimum 18 years of age
• High School Diploma or GED
• Must be able to lift 25 pounds
