Part-Time Wine & Spirits Sales Associate — In-Store Hand-Selling

The Role We're hiring part-time Sales Associates to work our retail floor with a specific focus on introducing customers to our exclusive house-label wines and spirits. You'll be stationed near featured displays, engaging shoppers in friendly conversation, answering questions, and helping them discover products they'll love. This isn't a stocker or cashier role, it's a sales and customer education role. The best people in this job genuinely enjoy talking to strangers and feel rewarded when someone walks out with a bottle they're excited about. What You'll Do Engage customers on the sales floor with a warm, low-pressure approach Pitch featured house-label products using product knowledge we provide (cheat sheets, tasting notes, talking points) Answer questions about wine and spirits selection, pairings, and value Refer harder questions to the manager on duty rather than guessing Keep featured displays neat and well-stocked during your shift Report shift sales counts to the manager at the end of each shift What You'll Earn $20.00/hr base pay $3.00 per bottle commission on featured house-label products sold during your shift (tracked at point of sale) Top performers regularly earn $35-$45/hr effective with the commission Employee discount on store products

Requirements:

21+ with valid ID Comfortable approaching strangers and starting conversations Reliable transportation to Cohasset, MA Comfortable standing for 4-8 hours and approaching customers proactively Strong communication skills and a customer-first attitude Reliable attendance — this is a small team and no-shows directly impact the business Bonus points: Restaurant, bar, or wine retail experience How to Apply Apply through Indeed with your resume and a brief note answering one question: What's one wine or spirit you'd happily recommend to a stranger, and why?
