Eligibility for benefits may vary by location and is determined by employment status Job Summary Working under the general supervision of the Distribution Manager and the Inventory Control Coordinator, and in accordance with established procedures, schedules, re-stocks department par-levels, and performs weekly orders for stock and non-stock items. Drives the Hospital truck and forklift and power worker, as required. Responsibilities Conducts department inventories according to established par-levels. Re-supply all inventories up to the established levels by filling form in-house inventory, or by "JIT" from vendors. Rotates items in department inventories while re-stocking shelves, etc. Responsible for ongoing updating of the par-level forms to assure that the units will not run out of supplies. Fills other department orders as needed or as scheduled. Fills all urgent requests in a timely manner. Notifies the Inventory Coordinator of items that are out of stock. Answers and responds to telephone inquiries referring unresolved request/problems to supervisor on duty. Delivers other stock or non-stock items to the using departments and obtains all appropriate signatures for all deliveries. Maintains a clean and orderly work area at all times. Drives stores truck. Picks up and delivers received items and Print shop jobs to hospital sites including Wellness, Clarks Hill, and other hospital satellite locations. Can be trained to fill in for the Receiver / Assistant Receiver. Cross trains General Clerk to drive stores truck or forklift in absence of Stores Clerk/General/Driver as required. Maintains all necessary records and files either manually or with the use of the computer. Participates in Physical Inventories and other duties as required.
Qualifications Required:
Experience:
Minimum of six months' related experience.
Licensure/Certification:
Must have D.O.T. approved Massachusetts Class 2 driver's license (1/91 change in Massachusetts License Registration Requirements). EDL Medical Care required when driving store's trucks.
