About:
Ice Cream Alley is a local, independently owned ice cream scoop shop in downtown Greenfield. Operating from April through October, we serve a curated selection of flavors from a variety of high-quality local producers. We are committed to the local community and strive to treat our workers well, activate downtown Greenfield as a social space, and bring a little magic into our neighbors\' lives.

Scoop Shop Lead Rate of Pay:
\$15.00/hr, plus tips
Benefits:
This is an unbenefited seasonal position, running early April to early October.
Purpose:
Scoop shop leads provide friendly service to customers, open and close the shop, and are responsible for maintaining a high level of cleanliness at all times.
Reports to:
Manager Duties:
Provides a high-quality customer service experience Produces consistent, properly portioned cones, cups, sundaes, and beverages according to specified standards Manages cash drawer Maintains a meticulously clean and inviting environment, indoors and outdoors Restocks ice cream, cones, utensils, napkins, and other supplies Communicates regularly with manager and other employees using web-based systems Updates the website with current flavors On busy evenings, leads may supervise a runner, who will assist them with certain tasks.
Qualifications:
16 years of age or older (because we generally have only one person working at a time, employees must be 16 years old or older to work day shifts and 18 years old or older to work evening shifts) Confident in your ability to work on your own in the shop Some experience in customer service, preferably in food service Demonstrated ability to be friendly and professional in a fast-paced environment Demonstrated ability to multitask Basic technology skills Attention to detail A high standard for cleanliness We strive to be inclusive in our hiring practices, and people from all backgrounds and identities are encouraged to apply.
