Responsibilities Provide outstanding customer service by greeting and assisting customers in a friendly manner. Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently for transactions, including cashiering and cash handling. Conduct product demonstrations to showcase items and promote sales. Engage in upselling techniques to enhance the customer shopping experience. Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring product availability. Assist in inventory management through effective stocking practices and retail math calculations. Supervise junior staff members as needed, providing guidance and support in daily operations. Uphold phone etiquette when handling customer inquiries over the phone. Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth store operations. Skills Strong customer service skills with a focus on enhancing the shopping experience. Proficiency in operating POS systems and performing cash handling tasks accurately. Experience in retail sales with knowledge of merchandising strategies. Basic math skills for handling transactions and inventory management. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with customers and team members. Bilingual abilities are a plus, enhancing communication with a diverse customer base. Supervising experience is beneficial for those looking to take on leadership roles within the store. Familiarity with grocery store operations is preferred but not required.
