Retail Team Lead

RETAIL TEAM LEAD

We're seeking experienced and motivated individuals to step into a Retail Team Lead role within our Farmstead Creamery retail team. This position is ideal for someone who excels in customer service and is ready to take on leadership responsibilities in a fast-paced, food-focused retail environment. Team Leads play a key role in daily operations, staff support, and ensuring a consistently high-quality customer experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO

Lead shifts and serve as point person during daily operations. Support opening and closing procedures, including cash handling and reconciliation. Train and mentor Junior Associates and Retail Associates. Ensure adherence to food safety standards and SOPs. Oversee product quality, merchandising, and store presentation. Assist with customer service escalations and problem-solving Coordinate workflow during busy periods (ice cream service, food prep, register flow) Support inventory tasks, including restocking, ordering assistance, and shrink awareness Assist with special orders and events Other tasks as assigned by management discretion

REQUIREMENTS

Previous retail, food service, or hospitality experience required Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience preferred Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining a positive team environment Reliable, punctual, and professional Ability to lift at least 35 lbs
