Where games come to life The Game Reserve is a family friendly small business with two locations in Middleboro, MA and Somerset MA. We buy and sell trading cards and gaming supplies. We run events and specialize in Magic the Gathering, Pokemon, Riftbound, Lorcana, Bandai games, Warhammer, Dungeons & Dragons, and other games. The Game Reserve team has worked hard to ensure a family friendly, safe, and clean atmosphere to foster a local community where everyone can enjoy their favorite games since 2017. We are interested in hiring individuals over the age of 18 that are passionate about the gaming community, have knowledge of trading card games, roleplay games, and interest in facilitating tournaments and events.

Key job responsibilities include:

Greeting all customers that enter the building in a high energy and professional manner Maintaining a welcoming, high energy, and accessible environment for the community Willingness to be present, active, and passionate with a focus on exceptional customer service, even in fast paced environments Willingness to stand for long periods of time Informing customers about upcoming events and store services that are offered Answering the phone in a high energy, professional manner Running tournaments and events Taking entry fees Answering all questions related to the game Assisting in inventory management Maintaining cleanliness of the store front to ensure a welcoming environment Monitoring the store front at all times to ensure all customers are having a safe, fun and memorable experience, as well as following The Game Reserve policies Participating in active events if necessary to engage the community and if time allows Required skills and qualifications include: Must be energetic, friendly, and outgoing Strong communication, multi-tasking, and time management skills Commitment to offering an exceptional customer experience Honesty in all aspects of the workplace Strong attention to details Ability to adapt to situations in a calm and efficient manner Organizational proficiency Computer proficiency Basic math proficiency Willingness to learn new skills Strong problem solving capabilities The following are desirable skills in our ideal candidate, but we are absolutely willing to train the right candidate: Broad understanding of one or more of the trading card games, or tabletop games we offer Experience with POS systems and handling cash General knowledge of games we carry Previous experience in retail or event hosting
