Job Description

Craftmasters of Nantucket is still seeking seasonal sales associates that meet the following requirements: All sale positions will begin sometime between June 19th and June 30th and will continue through September 7th , with the potential for extension. We are offering a starting wage of $30/hour , with an additional 2.5% commission bonus on all sales made during your scheduled shifts (2025 commission bonuses worked out to be an additional $8.56/hour on average, with 2026 expected to yield a higher average).
Position Schedules:
Daytime Position:
3 to 6 days per week, 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM (maximum 40 hours per week).
Evening Position:
3 to 4 evenings per week, within Thursday through Sunday, 5:00 PM - 10:00 PM.

Requirements:
Prior retail experience, preferably with specialty retail stores such as jewelry stores, galleries, antique shops, etc. An exceptionally friendly, charismatic and energetic demeanor. Strong verbal communication skills. A keen sense of aesthetics and compositions when it comes to maintaining displays and products. Strong organizational skills.
Primary Responsibilities:
Maintaining a friendly, charismatic and energetic demeanor throughout all interactions with customers. The ideal candidate is personable and perceptive to the needs of all customers. Maintaining the store in excellent condition and presentation at all times. Adjusting displays, polishing jewelry, conditioning leathers, restocking items, etc. Conducting sales of items in the store. Assisting customers with any questions they may have in a courteous, helpful and personable manner. Communicating any issues, supply needs, or maintenance concerns to the owner or manager in a timely manner. Familiarizing yourself with all of our products. The vendors and their history, the materials used, locations the products are made, etc. —— Craftmasters of Nantucket is a 50+ year old business with a reputation of not only providing exemplary goods, but also exemplary service.
