The Front of House Lead is responsible for supporting daily dispensary operations, guiding Retail Sales Associates, and helping ensure the store runs smoothly during each shift. This position acts as a key point of support between customers, team members, and management. The role requires strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to lead by example in a fast-paced, highly regulated retail environment. Front of House Leads must be willing and able to work at either the Newton or Natick location based on business needs. Key Responsibilities Support Daily Store Operations Help maintain smooth dispensary operations by following Redi policies, procedures, and daily operating standards. Respond professionally to unexpected issues and escalate concerns to management when needed. Maintain Compliance Standards Understand and follow Massachusetts Cannabis Control Commission regulations. Monitor transactions and team practices to help ensure staff are operating in compliance with state requirements. Address potential issues quickly and communicate concerns appropriately. Guide and Support Team Members Provide coaching, direction, and real-time support to Retail Sales Associates. Help ensure team members are meeting expectations related to customer service, professionalism, product knowledge, and company policies. Opening and Closing Responsibilities Complete opening and closing duties as assigned, including deposit preparation, drawer closeout support, cleaning tasks, store readiness, and other shift responsibilities. Customer Experience Create a welcoming and helpful customer experience by engaging with customers on the sales floor, answering questions, supporting product education, and helping resolve customer concerns in a calm and professional manner. Attendance and Reliability Maintain consistent attendance and punctuality. This role is critical to daily store coverage and successful dispensary operations. Team Communication Use designated communication tools, including company messaging platforms, walkie talkies, and email, to share important updates with staff and management. Operational Feedback Communicate observations, staffing concerns, customer feedback, and process improvement ideas to leadership. Culture and Teamwork Contribute to a positive and supportive workplace by participating in shared tasks, assisting team members, and modeling Redi's expectations for professionalism and respect. Privacy and Confidentiality Protect confidential company, employee, and customer information at all times. Customer Issue Resolution Assist with customer concerns, complaints, or conflicts in a timely and professional manner while supporting long-term customer relationships and brand trust. Performance Goals Work toward individual and store-level performance expectations, including customer service, sales, operational accuracy, and other metrics outlined by the company. POS and Cash Handling Use the POS system accurately and confidently. Assist with drawer reconciliation, closeout procedures, and identifying or resolving discrepancies. Bank Deposit Preparation Prepare deposits accurately and ensure store totals are properly reflected for timely deposit processing, including customer traffic tracking as required. Training Support Help train new Retail Sales Associates on store procedures, systems, customer service expectations, product knowledge, and day-to-day responsibilities. Scheduling Flexibility Maintain flexibility to support business needs, including evening and weekend shifts. Full-time Lead status requires five full days of availability, including at least one weekend day. Local Official Interactions Interact professionally with local officials, inspectors, or other external contacts when needed. Store Presentation Help maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing dispensary. This includes cleaning, stocking, merchandising, promotional displays, and general store upkeep. Other Duties Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by management. Qualifications Prior retail, cannabis, hospitality, or customer-facing leadership experience preferred Strong communication and problem-solving skills Ability to coach and support team members in real time Comfortable working in a regulated environment Reliable, punctual, and able to follow detailed procedures Ability to work evenings, weekends, and across both Newton and Natick locations as needed Must meet all state requirements for working in a Massachusetts cannabis dispensary Pay:
