Store Clerk/Cashier

Atlantic Spice is a family run business with a 31 year history on the Outer Cape. We operate a year round retail/wholesale business with between 13-20 employees. Our wholesale customers include manufacturers, co-ops, breweries, retail stores and individuals. Orders for herbs, spices, teas and essential oils ship both domestically and internationally from our on-site warehouse on a daily basis. The retail store features all the wholesale products, as well as many items that compliment our wholesale product line, such as cookbooks, kitchenware, and specialty food goods.

Job Description:

This position is for immediate hire and to continue into the fall. Weekends are a must. Register clerk, involving set-up and closure of retail store, using bar code check out system, re-stocking all products, handling customer service issues, and taking wholesale phone orders. Responsibly for checking-in and re-stocking incoming retail orders.

Job Qualifications:

Willingness to learn about herbs and spices and their culinary uses. Ability to collaborate with co-workers to bring creativity and innovation to the workplace. Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced retail seasonal environment is critical. This position requires a candidate to be on their feet for most of the day and to occasionally lift 50-pound boxes.
