About Lilla Lilla Swedish Candy is a specialty candy brand bringing the Swedish tradition of lördagsgodis — Saturday candy — to the United States. We're opening our first brick-and-mortar store at Thornes Marketplace in Northampton in spring 2026, featuring self-serve pick-and-mix Swedish confectionery, imported Swedish goods, and a beautifully designed space that tells a genuine cultural story. We're a small, growing team that believes in paying people well, giving them real ownership of their work, and building something worth being part of. This is a ground-floor opportunity with a brand that's moving fast. The Role You'll be a core part of the in-store team with a consistent weekly schedule that includes weekends and some weekday evenings. When it's busy you're engaging customers and keeping the floor moving. When it's quiet there's always something useful to do, whether that's restocking bins, organizing inventory, or entering product data. This is not a passive role. What You'll Do Welcome customers and create a warm, inviting experience in the store Keep pick-and-mix bins stocked, clean, labeled, and looking great throughout your shift Handle checkout accurately using our POS system Assist with restocking shelves and organizing inventory Enter product and inventory data into our systems during slower periods Help maintain a clean, well-merchandised store floor Support the Store Lead with general store tasks as needed Assist with occasional event setup and breakdown Schedule We strive to offer consistent, predictable weekly schedules — not a different roster every week. Weekend availability (Saturday and/or Sunday) is required, along with one or two weekday afternoons. Specific schedule will be determined based on your availability and the needs of the team. Thornes Marketplace hours are Monday-Thursday 10am-6pm, Friday-Saturday 10am-8pm, and Sunday noon-5pm. Some holiday availability is required. Who We're Looking For Genuinely warm and good with people — you enjoy talking to strangers and making their day a little better Reliable — you show up when you say you will, every time Detail-oriented about how things look and feel — a well-stocked, beautifully organized bin matters to you Self-directed during slow periods — you find useful things to do without being told Comfortable with basic computer tasks like data entry Interest in food, culture, or retail a plus Prior retail or customer-facing experience helpful but not required Compensation $16-18/hr to start Monthly reliability bonus for completing all scheduled shifts Staff discount on all Lilla products
