Sales Associate Description:

Peabody Essex Museum is seeking threehighly motivated and outgoing temporary Sales Associates for the Marine Hall Mercantile Museum Shop. Hours will be between 24 to 28 hours weekly and the duration will be from July thru October with some hours extending into December depending on business needs. This role is ideal for individuals with impeccable customer service skills and the ability to engage with the public in a Museum Shop sales environment. We are seeking confident individuals who have strong interpersonal skills and can interact with our visitors in a professional and positive way. An interest in art and culture and a sense of fashion and personal style are helpful to the success in this role. General duties include point-of-sale checkout procedures, inventory replenishment, maintaining visual displays, direct sales, cash handling and other duties as needed.

Qualifications:

Experience in the retail or service industry is a plus. Must be available for weekend and weekday shifts and able to stand for extended periods with the ability to lift 30 lbs. This position is temporary, benefits ineligible totaling 24-28 hours per week. The hourly range for this role is $19.56 - $20.43mensurate with experience.
