POSITION SUMMARY
The Dispensary Store Lead is responsible for aiding in day-to-day operations of the dispensary including supervising a dynamic team, inventory control, and customer service. Store Leads will be excellent communicators with all levels of the organization to implement, refine and enforce State, Federal and CCC standard operating procedures that promote organization, team culture and productivity. Ideal candidates should have a passion for cannabis, be energetic, have a positive attitude and are willing to work hard.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform any and all duties of standard dispensary agent roles in tandem with the following responsibilities.
  • Participate in refining and implementing best operational procedures, regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Supervise, train and direct the dispensary team.
  • Opening and closing the store; follow opening and closing S.O.P.'s
  • Assist budtenders with counting cash, and balancing tills at EOD.
  • Manage financial records and cash handling procedures.
  • Handle low level customer issues.
  • Process returns.
  • Process employee discounts.
  • Oversee employee breaks, lunches, and shift changes.
  • Supervise and delegate tasks to budtenders; Including but not limited to daily cleaning, customer interaction, and other daily and weekly tasks
  • Participate in scheduling development and refinement
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and knowledge to staff.
  • Keep Leadership apprised of any operational issues or complaints with customer service.
  • Work very close to Leader's vision and goals for the store.
  • Assist in the elimination and/or reduce potential theft of product by providing guidance to Team Members and maintaining awareness on the sales floor.
  • Ensuring that the correct price, product, tax and/or discounts are applied correctly to each sale.
  • Assist in the training of new team members.
  • Educate the team according to company guidelines.
  • Ensure the safety and satisfaction of both customers and employees.
  • Maintain an in-depth industry wide knowledge of products and strains in Massachusetts.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of the current cannabis law and regulations.
  • Educate yourself and the team on cannabis products and consumption methods.
  • Ensure the dispensary remains compliant with security, inventory and local and state regulations.
  • Maintain records for all necessary documents: delivery and inventory manifests, inventory counts, necessary employee and customer information, destruction reports, etc.
  • Facilitate product deliveries and work on inventory Leadership duties including but not limited to inventory import/export, testing data uploads, labeling, online menu auditing and adjustment, waste Leadership, record filing, product display generation and METRC reconciliation.
  • Additionally, any and other duties as assigned at discretion of Leadership for the purposes of effective site operations and store success.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND SKILLS
  • Open availability required, evenings and weekends
  • 2+ years supervisory experience preferred
  • Retail and/or cannabis and/or service industry experience required
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Must have the ability to pass a background check
  • Regulatory and Inventory experience preferred
  • Expertise in all aspects of agent duties
  • Proficiency with computers and POS systems
  • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
  • Proficiency in G Suite, Microsoft Office Suite and excellent Excel skills preferred
  • Demonstrated passion to serve the cannabis community and local neighborhoods
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Ability to stand for up to six-hours at a time
  • Walk frequently
  • Reach and twist/turn with hands and arms
  • Climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
  • Frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to focus
JOB SCOPE
Operate with direct supervision from the Leadership group. Follow established policies and procedures and contribute to the development of new ones that drive the culture, efficiency, and productivity in the Dispensary.
