Part-Time Sales & Service Associate - Munroe Velo (Topsfield, MA) Munroe Velo is a community-driven bike shop in Topsfield, MA specializing in gravel, mountain, road, and kids/family bikes. We're passionate about riding and bring that enthusiasm into everything we do - from helping first-time riders to supporting experienced cyclists. Position Overview:

We're hiring for a part-time team member who can contribute to both sales and service areas of the shop. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys both customer interaction and hands-on bike work.

Hours:

10-20 hours per week

Schedule:

Weekends required

Seasonality:

Hours may increase during the busy spring/summer season

Pay:

$18-$22/hour (based on experience)

Sales Responsibilities:

Assist customers in selecting bikes, accessories, and gear Provide a welcoming, knowledgeable, and pressure-free shopping experience Answer questions and offer guidance based on customer needs and riding goals Maintain sales floor organization and merchandising Support day-to-day shop operations and customer service

Ideal Candidate:

Bike enthusiast and/or prior retail experience preferred Strong communication skills and positive attitude Passion for helping people get into cycling or progress in the sport

Service Responsibilities:

Assemble new bikes and prepare them for sale Perform basic repairs and maintenance (tune-ups, flat fixes, adjustments, etc.) Assist with intake and evaluation of service work Maintain a clean and organized service area Support mechanics and help manage workflow during busy periods

Ideal Candidate:

Some experience working on, assembling, and repairing bikes preferred Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail Willingness to learn and grow technical skills
