Product Specialist / Budtender

Position Overview Cape Cod Cannabis is seeking high-performing, accountable Budtenders who can operate efficiently in a fast-paced retail environment. This role requires strong customer service, product knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to manage customer flow independently while maintaining full compliance with all regulations. Budtenders are expected to take ownership of their station, contribute to overall store performance, and consistently execute operational standards. Key Responsibilities Customer Service & Sales Performance Deliver efficient, professional, and knowledgeable customer service Educate customers and confidently recommend products based on their needs Maintain strong awareness of current promotions and bundles Drive sales through product knowledge and effective recommendations Accurately and efficiently process transactions Sales Floor Execution Maintain a clean, organized, and well-merchandised sales floor at all times Stock and replenish product throughout shifts Ensure displays are consistently faced and maintained Inventory & Compliance Sticker and label products in accordance with all regulatory requirements Participate in routine audits and maintain high inventory accuracy Identify and report discrepancies immediately Follow all state regulations and company SOPs without exception Operational Accountability Complete all assigned side work and daily tasks each shift Manage customer flow independently and maintain efficiency during peak periods Maintain strong product knowledge through ongoing training and quizzes Contribute to a disciplined, team-oriented work environment Qualifications Must meet legal age requirements to work in the cannabis industry Previous retail, sales, or customer service experience required Strong communication skills and ability to work under pressure High attention to detail and accountability Ability to multitask and maintain efficiency in a fast-paced setting Reliable, punctual, and performance-driven Preferred Qualifications Cannabis product knowledge (flower, edibles, concentrates, terpenes) Experience with POS systems and cash handling Sales experience with upselling or commission-based environments Compensation & Incentives Competitive hourly wage Tips and commission opportunities based on performance Employee discounts Ongoing product training and development Working Conditions Retail dispensary environment Prolonged standing and active movement Ability to lift up to 25 lbs Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays Performance Expectations Operate independently without reliance on constant supervision Maintain efficiency and composure during high-volume periods Execute all operational standards consistently Contribute to overall store performance and customer satisfaction Apply If You Are Driven, reliable, and accountable Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-expectation environment Confident in your ability to learn and communicate product knowledge Motivated by performance-based earnings (tips + commission)
